Abstract Peppermint is an important medicinal plant, and it known for its essential oils phenolic acids. Verticillium wilt a vascular disease resulted from several spp. causing significant economic losses in peppermint cultivation. In this study, the fungus Gibellulopsis nigrescens (syn. ) was isolated symptomless plants during regular control of on Germany. A pure fungal culture prepared, DNA extracted. Ribosomal internal transcribed spacer (ITS), beta-tubulin (TUB), translation elongation factor 1-α (TEF1-α) were amplified, sequenced, deposited GenBank. These sequences are located within cluster.
